I think it would be helpful here to define "Architecture", then "Enterprise Architecture". I am familiar with the Zachman Framework (which is NOT a product, by the way!). My understanding is that the "framework" is more of a tool to organize your thinking about the architectural components of some complex entity - whether it is an entire enterprise or an information system makes no difference.
The original message in this thread asked for a way to incorporate knowledge management into an information architecture. So I suggest we define those terms first. Zachman's definition can be found at www.zifa.com; although I like his definition, I believe, if we are to address the original issue, we should understand exactly what the terms mean.
