I agree that KM can have a direct factor in an organisations growth, however there may be differences on how one can quantify the returns accured by the organisation by implementing KM.

Also i think that 'knowledge is key to technology', and KM need to be seperated. knowledge in former case is the advancement which has been made possible by new inventions and innovattions. this is more something like scientific knowledge..

in business terms KM may mean something different.
I think the challange is in finding what KM acually means to a each INDIVIDUAL organisation, and then implementing KM solutions.

I think 'one size fits all' approach to KM may not benefit business organisations in long run, and infact this may be one of the may reasons for failure of KM to live upto it's reputation.
