As our organization moves towards a knowledge-sharing enterprise, we continue to trip over other departments' feet. We have tenuously agreed with other KM practicing departments to all preach from the same "Bible" as it were, but everyone obviously has their own agenda so such tacit agreement could be breached at any time.
SO, while anyone can use the KM methodologies, I would be interested in hearing who you think should "own" or "steward" the strategy or the discipline of KM in our organization.
Is KM essentially a "learning" vehicle so should be "owned" by Learning & Development? Or is it a strategic undertaking and should be owned by the Strategic Resources folks? Or is it mostly just an electronic tool to be owned by the IT/Systems folks?
I covet your insights.
