I believe it may be somewhat problematic comparing or equating intellectual capital to profit. Profit is generally the difference between income and expenses that is shown on the companies balance sheet. Intellectual capital is the intangible assets generally characterized as residing in the people. Another problem may be in comparing intellect with intellectual capital. Intellect is a personal attribute (say demonstrable through an IQ quotient), however, IC is the value that you can attribute to that intellect within the organizational framework of valuation and value creation.
