Hi All

I'd agree that we are 'casting tacit assets aside' and 'missing out on emergence', but isn't this an ideal world situation where companies already have a 'knowledge culture' and have sufficient KM techniques and technologies in place that enable the fostering of emergence?

Most of the companies I've worked with just haven't been ready for this (yet!) and benefited more from classifying, structuring and understanding what they had already, so that it could then be distributed and re-used before thinking about taking on the above.
