Ok. I understand and agree. Intellectual capital (in all its forms) is an output of successful KM, and natural knowledge ecologies. Could you please clarrify what you mean by "knowlege transforms tacit into explicit"?
In my personal/professional opinion, knowledge does not transform anything; it is a product. Cognition is a much better term. Cognition (which utilizes current tacit knowledge, and perception) transforms impulses into new knowledge. I hate to be picky about semantics, but in this case it might be important.
Usually I leave ontological/psychological discussions aside, if Plato, Aristotle, Aquinas, Descartes, Hegel, Piaget, Watson, and Pavlov could not agree I doubt this forum will come up with a universally accepted definition.
