KM tranforms intellect into intellectual capital (and vice versa) in exactly the same way that Knowledge tranforms tacit knowledge into explicit knowledge (and vice versa).

so:

intellect <> KM <> intellectual capital
(groups)

tacit knowledge <> K <> explicit knowledge (individuals)

So SAT scores - or intellect - are tranformed into university degrees - or intellectual capital. In exactly the same way, ideas - or tacit knowledge - are transformed into language - or explicit knowledge.

The only difference is whether we're dealing with individuals or groups.
