Well Mr.Salman i was going through your posting regarding Knowledge management in the Construction industry and also did go through the post follow ups..i agree with you on the point that the construction industry is not as structured as the manufacturing industry and implementing KM in the construction industry is not going to be that easy(because of the diversities in the Industry)..but what i think is that for Knowledge to be shared and managed within an industry you need a framework wherein the Knowledge could be managed, stored ,shared and transfered...There is a need of a collaborative enviornment which serves as a interface for the Intangile assets of the industry to engage in collaboration and thus achieve Knowledge sharing & transference across the industry...for the simple fact that Knowledge resides in human brains and unless these human barins donot come together in a collaborative enviornment the knowledge will keep residing there itself...well if you would be interested in this i can propose a possible solution which could propel Knowledge sharing in your industry...
I am working for a Swiss Company called "metalayer"..its a knowledge management firm whic has an XML based Collaboration platform...the platform provides virtual work places for Knowledge intensive organisations to come together and collaborate using the various collaboration tools on the platform which enable organisations to co-work,co-learn and co-create and in the process manage and share Knowledge.
I will be glad to engage in a dialogue with you regarding this provided you can spare some time and thought for this...regards
