It wouldn't be dangerous if it were actually knowledge of course, but usually "a little knowledge" is actually a little information, out of context.
That is a very idealistic statement about the nature of true knowledge. You assume that knowledge carries with it an inherent universal sense of morality that will be good for the the entire progress of human society. There is a possibility that people who are extremely intelligent and well-informed can gain a spark of insight, and use their knowledge to destroy the United States in order to bring about a dramatic reincarnation of life and civilization that would eventually take place.
