As an ex-professor,and a father of three college graduates, I will suggest that you indeed are wasting your time going to school. Two of my sons were in a position similar to yours, they dropped out, worked, bummed around on their own nickle, and during that time discovered substantial motivation, went back to school and graduated with enthusiasm.Many students have done the same thing.
Indeed, as Mr. McConnell suggests below, values play a big role in any decision making. But, more often than not, lasting and important values are hewn out of experience. Presumptuous as it may sound, drop out and work for a time.
