You may be focused on the wrong objective. Decisions are ultimately based on your value system. For example, if you value being with your friends more than you value your degree you're more likely to make concious and sub-concious decisions to be with your friends. As you age and events take place in your life your value system changes. When you start developing your career your degree will have a higher value than now. If your degree is more important than everything else currently, you should start looking at future career options/ choices and how they relate to your educational objectives.
