Hi Gian,
This is a very difficult field. I'm not sure it will prove to be very rewarding, here is why:
- Really useful knowledge is often emergent, highly context dependent and largely tacit - difficult to guage these intangibles
- It takes time to change users assumptions and to make them aware of possible applications & value - this is best done through dialog in a community of practice rather than assigning a measure, ranking or rating to information
- Assigning a value to 'knowledge assets' is risky and requires strong assumptions about the stability of external / application environment.
- Knowledge is so closely tied to our individual and group identities that any judgement on value needs careful evaluation of who is doing the measurement
