I am trying to explore some options in LMS application and any comments anyone can provide would be much appreciated. The questions we are trying to answer are listed below.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of using a single LMS where all courses sit on our single LMS, versus allowing multiple LMSs with a pull through a single LMS provider? We need to understand the uniqueness of both strategies. For example, what if we allowed X vendor to sit on their LMS, and Y vendor to sit on their own LMS, and Z vendor to sit on their LMS and than just have them all link to a single portal and use data feeds from all the vendors to run our reports? Why not allow this situation?
Here are the questions we would like to answer.
1. What are the advantages of a single LMS strategy? What are the disadvantages?
2. What are the advantages of a multiple LMS strategy? What are the disadvantages?
3. Which strategy is used the most by global companies?
4. Why did companies select their strategy?
5. What problems have organizations experienced with their strategy?
