I'd be surprised if someone could answer this...
Could anyone pass some information on regarding whether the US government/DOD/CIA/FBI is actively searching for seasoned KM consultants?
I've always been intrigued with the opportunity of working in the government sector. However, I only have old "Big 5" KM experience, along with other vertical KM package implementation experience.
With this, any information on the application of private sector KM versus that of the government would be greatly appreciated. For example:
1. Are corporations more inclined to use package software vs. custom solutions?
2. What are the philosophical differences and strategies (i.e. competitive/business intelligence vs. ROI/Customer care)
3. What are the challenges from going to a private sector KM project to a government-run KM operation?
Best regards.
