Hi Iris - just a short post here as I noted your subsequent post on the topic of Knowledge Dynamic that I will respond to more fully above.

Like you, I strongly agree that IT (Information Technology) is only a support tool for knowledge work/knowledge management.

The KnowledgeWorker system I suggested to Martha R was advanced as a possible solution/framework for addressing her immediate need viz 'capturing soon to be departed' knowledge.

KnowledgeWorker is as much about attitude and approach as it is about anything else. Indeed, I would rate it at the bottom end of an IT continum is as much as it only uses peoples existing tools, skills, software etc in a more innovative, efficient and collabrative manner

I don't want to sound like I am selling something, because I am not really - would much rather discuss/share thoughts on the other matters you raised - so over to there :-)
