Absolutely !!
Knowledge exists in groups, teams and communities. The more teams and groups communicate, not just at superficial levels (dealing with questions like 'what') but drill down to deeper levels (asking questions like 'why' and 'why not' ) and engaging with each other at a very open level, surfacing assumptions and questioning and confronting each other then will true knowledge creation happen :-)
