What if you look to your raw material(information) entering a process(knowledge)resulting in a new work in progress(information). Information is the artifact of the process. Information workers organize, retrieve,integrate, and distribute it. Knowledge workers are engaged in converting tacit to explicit and cross pollinating knowledge communities much like a bumble bee does to multiple species of flowers.
