Peter:

I taught KM for the 1st time to undergrads (3rd year) this semester, using Chun Wei Choo and Housel & Bell as texts. KM is my doctoral area.

In essence, about 1/3 of the students jsut plain didn't get 'it', i.e. they never grasped what the subject was about. Blame the students? No, in great part it was my role as a teacher. But the complexity of Choo, in particular, didn't help. Excepting that Newell et al doesn't include valuing of knowledge, I think the Newell text will be a better choice for me in 2003. I note it doesn't have accompanying ppts, and for busy academics, that's a real minus.
