We are involved with clients which are attempting to address such architecture. We see such issues as equal access; collaboration vs communication; virtual versus real/mix; effect of unequal bandwidth (inernational companies)being representative of discussion items as they frame their architecture. While I know I will be jumped for not including enough human and culture issues in this item; let me assure you they must receive equal levels of discussion for success but I usully do not include them as architecture issues. Given that the human and cultural forces are in place then there is a valid concept in looking for outcome enhancers through architecture.
