Hi Houda
E-learning is an important feature of KM strategies. it should be considered as a managerial technological tool that allows knowledge transfer. E-learning is just a KM enabler, a tool that helps implementing KM plans.

Some managers are trying to reduce KM to the use of technolgical tools (groupware, databases, intranet and even E-learning). this is wrong because knowledge is more than information, it is developed and transfered in the face-to-face relationship, in social networks.
so i think that e-learning is just a tool helping transferring knowledge.
