In relation to the formula, here are the definitions:

know how: we know how to exchange knowledge through the medium of information + data.

knowledge: what the individual knows

information + data: information and data are always linked. For example, the knowledge I am sharing with you is done through the words I am typing (information) and the alphabet which makes up the words (data). You can't have one without the other. Information and data as individual words taken in this context mean that something is considered information when the meaning takes precedence over the structure (this posting), and is considered data when the structure takes precedence over the meaning (list of addresses). But the two are still linked.

The formula will improve the quality of KM because, like anything else, if we know what we're doing we'll do a better job of it.
