I agree with Akhil, it was probably some PR/Mktg Consultant's way with words, at a time when Information was synonymous with knowledge.

If we may be permitted to dream, the Knowledge Age would be a time, when a lay person would know where to find what, information would be free and the person would have the capability and maturity to take decisions appropriate to his/her context to improve the lot of humankind in whatever little way.

It would be an age where people think new, and more importantly think individually. They would know and understand other people and their context and understand that knowledge is not different from the 'knowers' :-)

Into such an age, I think we should aspire to go...and take the information-have-nots along with us..
