Hi,
At the risk of a bunch of overzealous military intelligence (oxymoron? another thread?) breaking down my door....:-)
One of the key reasons Al Qaeda has been successful is that they are able to articulate their goals & strategy very well. operatives (employees?) right down the organization understand these goals & are willing to give up their lives to acheive them. It is imperative that these goals enable operatives feel that they are involved in something greater than themselves.
In one sentence their success is based on recruiting people who match their internal culture, show them what they need to acheive & let them work towards it however they wish to.
I wish MY company was as effective......:-)
Conversely, the US govt has no clear goals (war on TERRORISM?), imposes blanket activites (racial profiling, X raying shoes at airports) and throws a lot of money into the process without clear success parameters.
Any votes on who will succeed?
If you need me, I will be in my underground bunker :-))))
Take GOOD care,
Akhil
