IC is pure profit. IC comes into existence because at the end of the year, after the ledge of A/R and A/P is all tallied up, whatever is left over from this knowledge exchange is intellectual capital.
Intellectual capital represents money in the bank. That's why Microsoft has 35 billion dollars in IC. And that's why Bill Gates says he hires the smartest people he can find. Because all that intellect converts into intellectual capital. Gate's employees brains are worth 35 billion bucks.
