Project Collaboration Extranet -- Implications for Enterprise Level KM in a global engineering firm

Greetings -

I'm the project manager responsible for the enterprise roll-out of a project collaboration extranet platform for a global engineering firm (10,000 employees, 250 offices, ~ 3k-4k projects started per year).

To date our focus has been focused on the needs of the active project team. However over time, as the firm's projects are closed out, we are going to accumulate a rich volume of project memories (the extranet sites capture deliverables development, meeting minutes, baseline project references, lessons learned -- all in the essential context of the project).

Comments or suggested sources? I've searched this resource and really haven't found anything on the subject of fueling an enterprise KM system with the types of project memories our extranet tool is providing.

THANKS!
