Derrick,
Perhaps you should have a meeting with them to discuss what it is that makes you buy from them in the round, discussing all the aspects such as product quality, pricing, delivery reliability and speed, the closeness of the business relationship, their knowledge of your needs and practices. For each, you can analyse with them the performance history, trying to identify if there is a bottleneck or other issue in their operational processes. Hopefully this collaborative approach will overcome the usual angst in such situations.
