What I was attempting to communicate was that like truth, knowledge is what is it perceived to be by the individual or group and thus is paradigmatic. Therefore in terms of KM, knowledge is contextualised in terms of its importance to the organisation. It becomes like a core competence as it is created by the bespoke experience of the organisation and is difficult to duplicate. Assessment of this may be undertaken by considering organisational "world view" (weltenshauugen) which would communicate that which was of strategic importance to the organisation and that which was not.
I am not convinced of the importance of truth within KM (except in terms of its relationship to epistemology) as truth will be whatever an organisation perceives it to be and will remain as such intill it changes, either via creation or innovation.
