Riva,

I am certainly glad to read your comments. Yes, I doubt there is any, universally acceptable, model. After all, incentives can't be a 'pick and fix' type of thing, exactly as we can't measure emotions such as happiness and sadness, other than saying, 'very' or 'little'.

But I wonder how one can assess the difference between what employees want and what organizations offer. I am not sure if 'trial and error' method of finding effective incentives is an attractive choice to elicit knowledge.

Though theoretical, there must be some qualitative values that should guide us where the 'bid side' stands against the 'offer side' of Knowledge Sharing.

The purpose is to refine my thoughts. So let me appreciate you all for giving your feedback and sharing your views.
