Here and elsewhere that we discuss KM we tend to concentrate on the technology when we talk about tools and functionality. Knowledge is largely about relationships, connecting, and learning. Social affordances are ways that people can help with technology, e.g. buddy systems, tours, mentoring kiosks, social conversation spaces and design metaphors.
