Thanks for your reply and questions. Just how much does the tool (technology environment) contribute to trust, relationships, social capital, friendship and other qualities needed for knowledge emergence and flow??

No simple answer here. There are certain technological affordances, social practices and governance structures that together help to speed collaboration, situate knowledge, assist with 'remembering' and facilitate information exchanges. Here are some patterns that may contribute IMO:

True this is not just around tools, but a balanced approach, co-design and empathetic pathway that seeks to accommodate human aspirations within the 'best' technological framework (symbiosis?).
