After having read quite a few articles and books about KM and LO and having finalized my thesis in Knowledge Sharing facilitated by an Intranet, I now have given myself the following challenge:
Is it possible, using the theoretical framework and/or best practices, to expedite the learning process for new employees in a service organisation.
I was wondering if anybody knows of litterature or even better, cases, that deal with this problem. Can an employee learn something in 3 months that used to take 6 months to learn and how.
There is, needless to say, a challenge in creating experience and converting explicit knowledge to tacit knowledge.
My idea is that what you learn with experience is all the exceptions and one approach would consequently be a simulation of all known exceptions.
Anyone with experience in this field?
