Pete,
I would say that a key part of human KM is human to human collaboration - the ability of people to work together effectively.
Nowadays, this increasingly is moving from physical meetings to virtual teaming which combines both synchronous and asynchronous methods of communication.
While I see that communciation might be managed, I would say that collaboration cannot be fully managed as it includes some key elements such as trust and richness of interaction.
"Human to human collaboration" strikes me as being more akin to the human side of KM (which doesn't include machines working together)
