Good question(s). An info worker integrates data, whereas a knowledge worker integrates information. Info is harder to conceptualize and data, and knowledge is harder to conceptualize that info. Which is why knowledge workers will probably command a higher salary that info workers in the near future, because the work is, like you said, more intuitive and less defined.
