Knowledge Management As Understood By Some Governments and CorporationsHere is one article that provides several interesting definitions of Knowledge Management from technological and sociological perspectives and tries to develop a more conistent, complete, and generalizable definition of KM based on survey of theory and practices (see page 5 for old definitions and page 13 for the definition of KM that fits new business environments). The adoption and application of this definition of KM by some governments and corporations was illustrated in the earlier document.
