Hi Kiara,
The steps for working with tacit knowledge are much the same everywhere:
1) Find and support existing communties of practice / interest e.g. brokers who focus on tech stocks - do some knowledge mapping
2) Help the community surface key distinctions and concepts (build their ontology)
3) Capture solutions to re-ocurring forces and the context within which these patterns are valid - hold pattern writing workshops
4) Revisit your pattern language at regular intervals to validate the solutions still work and are the best answers and that the context has not changed or altered
5) Ask questions and encourage the firm to talk about and use these patterns (which capture, expertise, experience and best solutions). Keep searching for new and different patterns to add to the repertoire and induct new brokers to the evolving language and rationale.Here are some notes
