I've just received your mail. i thank you for your helpful comments. yes, i've learned and analysed the pfeiffer's book: the human equation. i also read his article published in California management review (Summer, 1998).
I agree with you that the seven practices should not be considered as universally useful. models hide always particularities and contengencies.but let me tell you that Pfeiffer made a lot for HRM. he established the relationship between HR and competitive advantage, as made Lado et Wilson also( academy of management journal, 1994).
I'm really interested in the way HRSystems could suupport KM. i'll probably analyse this question in my thesis next year.
Finally, i wish we extend these comments.
