Hi Vidur,

It might be useful to clear up a long standing myth.

Knowledge Management is NOT Knowledge Capture. i.e. the whole point is not to take whatever is in your head & put it in some hard drive somewhere.

The term 'Management' in the classical sense is making the most out of limited resources.

Therefore the best way to 'manage' tacit knowledge is to simply know 'who knows what' in your organization. as long as you know who to ask to get your job done, you have managed your knowledge quite effectively!

so the idea of Knowledge Capture may die out, but knowledge management won't because people have been doing it ever since the dawn of time.
