I have searched through the archived postings and cannot really find what I'm looking for. I have two questions, I would love some insight on.
1) Is there a difference between Polanyi's "Focal" and "Explicit" knowledge? If so, what's the difference (I understand "explicit knowledge")2) If I were to argue that the two main theoretical underpinnings of the Knowledge Management movement are Polanyi's epistemology of personal knowledge and a general systems model (which is really a union of several theories such as Gestalt, Libray science, MIS, etc.), would that be a correct argument?
Thanks in advance for your reactions to my questions.
