I have designed such a framework for an organization of 45,000 employees and numerous divisions. The design is mostly linear, and seems reliable enough. The alinear aspect has not been addressed yet. I am working on that.
Depending on your definition of an enterprise-wide systems integration framework, we may be talking about totally different things though. The purpose of my design is to bring alignment between business and IT systems. It includes business processes and many other components. It is not supported by a methodology, and thus serves as a conceptual/logical design. This design would not be suitable for technical systems integration. One should rather look towards technical architectures for a list of possible answers on technical integration. it is usually best left to technical architects. The design does recognize technical architectures however, as it has to try and achieve the synthesis enterprises require.
Did you have a particular question? Maybe my experience could be of some use.
