Hi Ross,
Not to sound like a belligerent nationalistic flag waver :-)), thought i might add my 2 rupees to your 2p (exchange rates notwithstanding)
Although India's literacy rate stands at 64%, the sheer number of english speaking literates outnumber the populations of many developed nations.
In our highly developed services sector, addressing issues of motivation, affinities still make a lot of sense while attempting any new corporate initiatives. in fact, Indians tending to be very community minded, (like many other Asians) consider loyalty to their organization (community) to be important & are quite willing to share their experiences. often respect of their peers is a greater motivating factor than cold cash.
After all, Gandhi tends to be more popular here than Ol' Stormin' Norman!
