I'm trying to relate these two phrases that are floating around in the industry right now. There has been a lot of talk about Knowledge Management or the compilation of ones or an organizations range of information/understanding. But I'm looking at a subprocess of this called Learning Management or the acquisition of knowledge or skill by instruction or study. Organizations can manage and have access to vast amounts of information/knowledge, but how do they close the skills gap or change their behavior. I see that process as Learning Management which entails the tracking and reporting of that process as well. Any thoughts/comments on this from others would be useful.
