Hi Ponnu,
The final judgement of a successful KM project is based on whether it can add value to the organization or, to be more specific, whether it can contribute to the buttomline of the firm.
KM is a basic subject just like physics or math on which other theories or applications can be developed. Although KM may not contribute directly to the buttomline in the firm, the technologies such as e-learning, video conference, discussion forum, e-community etc do. In the future, there may be more applications found and more value added.
Curently, I think EVA(economic value added) can be a suitable or alternative measurement to evaluate the KM project. The EVA is targetted on the future. I think it can be a good measurement for emerging technology.
