Hi Ponn,
I think KM is still an unknown subject, as so far none sound theoretical framework has been totally developed. There is no clear concept of knowledge, no clear understanding about the relationship between people and technologies. There is not clear understanding on the concept of technology itself. Technology is a socio-technical system, the choice is contextual and depending on the particular history and values spread in your organization. For istance, if your organization want to foster a spirit of community and trust, you need face-to-face interaction. If you want to transfer theoretical knowledge you can use an Intranet. KM should be contextualized and adapted to the needs of a specific and real organization. We must reject absolute truths and packaged best practices
Regards,
Gianluca
