Hi Rob,
I know I exagerated, but I do think you're one of the few people with have views similar to mine...You don't have to convince me about the value of knowledge management, I know "knowledge" and "management" are important, but have we been managing knowledge well? You said the technological pattern may be a faddish one...I absolutely agree, therefore you need a little process of destruction and unlearning before building a new and more handsome house to live in!!!! That's why I tried to "shock" everybody with numbers and statements!!! Don't run away, stay in touch, I will start conversations not so often delt here, such as
1)The relationship between emotion and knowledge. For example, is anxiousness positive or negative for learning? Is it affected by trust?
2)Is trust a dynamic process?
3)Is a community of practice a real solution, or do we need interaction between different communities?
4)Is creativity human stuff or organizational stuff?
5)Do we need human resouce practices connected with Km and leraning such as a new idea and engineering of the concept of career?
P.S. I know we've all been studyng hard to handle KM practices. We need a joint effort to proceed, and certainly your empirical project acn help...
Regards
