Hi Ponnu,

KM is a concept & NOT a technology (although many software vendors will tell you otherwise!).

The core premise of KM is that Knowledge (in all its forms) in an organization is an asset to that organization. KM attempts to find ways to get the maximum value out of those assets.

the specific methods may change, but the concept can never become irrelevent.
