I'm afraid you can find the review only in some Universities...It's a little snob magazine. I agree with you that Academics are often out of touch with the real world. That's why I'm here. I think they have some good ideas but they are often a little too snobbish. I think academics and practitioners should speak more and be closer to each other. I don't claim to have the absolute truth. I agree with you that absolute truth doesn't exist. I'm here to speak and to gain a better understanding. Please, help me! My theses is an overall critical review of the knowledge management field, I think as complete as rarely seen before. I've sent the basic structure of my work to Denham (ask him!!!). It regards the history of knowledge management, its links to organizational leraning thinking, a multidimensional concept of knowledge (theoretical, practical and interactive), a study of technology and fitting between men and technology (computer mediated communication, virtual teams and so on, not to destory them but to understand the working conditions. I'm not at all a Luddist: I'm using IT right now! It's a matter of FIT!!!), the problems of the concept of best practice, a critical review of the concept of LEAN PRODUCTION, a critical analysis of the ideas of knowledge worker and knowledge manager. My theses speaks also about politics and power...I'm aware they are important concepts in every organization... Finally, I tried to connect human resouce management, evaluation and careers systems to the problem of knowledge sharing (yeah, this is a good subject for a new discussion!!!!!). Ah, I also critized the concepts of organizational culture and trust (an illusion the firts, a mistery or just rethoric the second)
Bye for now, again I don't want to upset anybody, I like people. I'm just searching a better understanding...
