Hi Geeta,
Take a ramble though my KM Wiki pages starting here. The key sites are given in bold.
Community metrics are problematic as most of the knowledge is shared via tacit transfer. Stories and annecdotes work better in this area. Places to look for case studies are: AMS, APQC, Buckman, Shell, BP. Noteable writers in this area are Etienne Wenger, Richard McDermott, John Smith, William Snyder. Fred Nickols has an informative site.
