Sarah - great advice. I've actually taken that tack recently by avoiding reference to "KM" at all. I think that I may have more success packaging changes as a means to enhance efficiency and imporove the bottom line. My concern, however, is that groups within the company will begin work on these "disguised KM" projects but that they will never be tied together into a company-wide initiative. That's what keeps me awake at night. I'm already beginning to see it - customer service works on project a, which will improve their function, but does not consider whether sales or product development would also be interested in the fruits of project a. We're plagued by a narrow-minded culture that fails to see the linkage between small pockets of innovation.
