Yogesh
We have started this conversation within other threads. I would like to get others and yourself to begin to make explicit what are some of the better practices we are experiencing on this or other forums which we feel produces a "feel good" outcome for virtual knowledge processes.I'll list some I've observed:
The key one I've observed is your inclusion of links and papers within discussion cause me to read with better purpose and focus on a subject. This supports my knowledge process better than "read then discuss" of the classroom model.
You represent a good model of coaching within a virtual community. You also allow the coaching role to shift within threads to others.
From time to time you organize your threads for a role of primary read only archive.
The ability to have focus by starting a new main topic.
A negative observation in search of a positve best practice: it would be nice to have a navigation tool which would allow us to know an older thread has become active without scrolling and reading dates.
I hope other will add to this list of what's working for them in this virtual knowledge community so we can begin a explicit process on this subject.
Thanks to all for sharing your observations
Tom
