Having studied the theories of KM and seen the working of a KM system in our organization, I feel that true knowledge management is more than just implementation. It is the execution and enforcement of the execution that makes all the difference. Case in point, you can probably build a good knowledge sharing database with little effort. However, getting your consultants and employees to share their ‘best practices’ by posting their experiences on the system is tougher than you can imagine.
